Birth, Baby & Beyond Doula Services & Natural Childbirth Education Serving the Central Coast of California Barbara Gorman – CE (805) 598-8052 Welcome to Birth, Baby & Beyond! Our goal is to provide you with information and services to assist you in having the best childbirth experience possible. By teaching childbirth from the perspective of the natural biological processes involved and training you how to respond to your body, you can have a positive birth experience. Some hospital sponsored childbirth classes train you to be a good, compliant patient. We want to provide you with information on how to work with your body during the labor process, so that you can make an informed decision as to what methods you feel comfortable with regarding the birth of your baby, and beyond. We focus on the natural functions of the body during pregnancy and childbirth, and teaches you how to labor effectively. In addition, we teach the role of the husband as labor coach in the childbirth process, this way both parents experience the miracle of birth to the fullest extent possible. Doula services are also available for those who want some additional support for both mom and dad/coach during the process of birth itself. In addition, a customized birth plan will be drafted with you to inform your care provider of your desires for your birth.
